The following rules are for the Pro Stock 4x4 Shootout division. This class will be offered as a NON-POINTS division for the 2023 season at a few of our events. To pull this class, a pulling vehicle must match one of the following rulesets that are listed below.
GENERAL RULES
- 6300 lb weight limit on all trucks
- 26 inch hitch height on all trucks
- Engines may be pumped at any event throughout the season
RULESET #1
1. Add on weight is permissible. Hanging weight may not extend more than 195 inches from the center of the rear axle. Weights may not extend more than 60 inches from centerline of front axle. Two rollers must be attached to the most forward point of the bottom or side of weight box.
2. No cubic inch limit.
3. Any aluminum cylinder heads are permitted.
4. Aluminum blocks are permitted.
5. Any intake allowed with one four barrel carburetor.
6. Exhaust will exit thru hood or behind cab.
7. Sheet metal must conform to wheel base. Fiberglass body permitted. Must have a bed floor or tonneau cover and firewall.
8. Any make engine allowed with any make body.
9. Hitch height is 26" maximum. Must be rigid in all directions. Mandatory Safety hitch must be as strong as primary hitch and cannot be connected to primary hitch. Must be 12 inches below primary hitch, minimum 3/8” thick with an opening of 3.75 x 3.5” No bolts in hitches. Must be forged pin. Any vehicle longer than 195 inches will have 25" hitch height. From point of hook to centerline of rear axle shall be no less than 27% of wheel base.
10. Rear of block must be 12" behind the center of front axle tube.
11. Drive train will consist of the following: Any front axle, any transfer case, any rear axle. No planetaries permitted.
12. OEM Frame rail only permitted.
13. Totally enclosed bell housing is required. Must meet SFI Spec 6.1 or better. All vehicles not inspected for highway use must have: manual transmission - Flywheel shield Automatic transmission - SFI Spec. 29.1 flex plate. No cast iron permitted. A positive gear lockout, approved safety blanket over the torque converter area. A full length blanket is required. Must meet SFI Spec. 4.1. Drive shaft loops and U joint shields are rquired.
14. Maximum width of truck is 102".
15. No mud flaps or dirt deflectors.
16. Tires must be DOT approved. 35" x 12.50. No studded tires, chains or any alterations. No bar tires and no dual tires.
17. Must have kill switch.
18. No fuel tanks or lines in cab.
19. No air suspension or hydraulic systems
20. Helmet, fire jacket and gloves are mandatory. No tennis shoes or open toes. Fire proof boots recommended.

RULESET #2
1. Engine Limitations
- 510 Cubic Inch limit with 1 percent allowance
- Must run single 4 barrel carburetor with a square mounting flange. No rectangular shaped mounting flanges allowed.
- Must be naturally aspirated - no blowers
- No nitrous or nitrous accessories allowed on truck
- No aluminum engine blocks are allowed
- No Pro Stock style or Hemi heads allowed- must accept stock intake with no major modifications
- Intake manifolds will be limited to a single plane CAST Intake that is readily available to the general public. Intakes must keep stock outer appearance with no major modifications.
- Custom, one off, non-production cast Intakes are not allowed
- Tunnel Ram Intakes cast or sheetmetal are not allowed. Anything that resembles a Tunnel Ram is not allowed
- No Sheetmetal Intakes
- No onboard computer or data systems PERIOD
- Back of Engine block may not be mounted forward of centerline of front axle
- Upright headers allowed, headers underneath the truck should point straight back not toward the track, no turndowns
- Must run Racing Gas ( No Alcohol Allowed)
- Fuel may be checked at carburator bowl
- No fiberglass body parts with the exception of the hood which may be fiberglass. Lift Bodies will be allowed but must be deemed safe by the tech official and must me able to be locked in the up position. Firewalls must be made of either lexan or metal with no visible gaps. All front windshields must be lexan. (no plexiglass allowed) Both doors must open from the outside.
- Maximum wheelbase of 135
- Hitches must be at least 30% of the trucks wheelbase, rigid in all directions. Must have 3" opening. Hitch height 26" maximum. No Hitch angle greater than 25 degrees. Hitch may be adjusted from the top or bottom.
- Maximum tire size is 14.50" x 36" and DOT approved. No cutting or grooving allowed.
- Chassis must be production style. No tubular or chrome-moly chassis allowed. Chrome-moly bracing and supports are allowed. The front suspension MUST match the year of the frame on the truck regardless of body type. Frame must remain stock from front to rear other than mounts or bracing.
- Quick change gearboxes and over 1-ton power train will be allowed
- Must have stock style leaf /coil spring front suspension. Coil over shocks are allowed in the Pro Stock FWD class as long as they are used as a helper to the original suspension. No airbags or hydraulics allowed. Radius bars will be allowed.
- Weight box must be mounted rigid and extend a maximum of 60" to front of box from centerline of front axle.
- U-joints must be shielded with at least of ⅛" steel or ¼" aluminum. Blow proof shields, transmission blankets and/or SFI approved bell housings required.
- Must have working kill switch that kills fuel pump also.
- Vehicle must have working fire extinguisher
